EDGAR D. BARRON
Over the past 25 years, Edgar Barron has been immersed in local and parachurch ministries and various forms of for-profit industries, ranging from start-ups to multi-national entities. A native of California, he has had dynamic and diverse positions including those of Vice President of Communications and Creative Services at Promise Keepers, Founding and Senior Pastor of Journey Christian Fellowship, Management Consultant to numerous organizations including Focus on the Family, Impact Events and Production, Open Door Ministries and Promise Keepers.
Prior to his service in the non-profit sector Edgar spent 16 years in the aerospace defense industry with Hughes Aircraft Co. in the Los Angeles area. His primary areas of foci were industrial and systems engineering.
As an industrial engineer he worked on complex radar systems for the F-14, F-15, F/A 18 fighter aircraft and the B-2 Stealth Bomber. As a Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer Edgar was responsible for assuring the assembly, testing and integration of airborne radar and aviation systems. He holds certifications in Statistical Quality Assurance and Total Quality Management.
After serving in the Radar Systems Group of Hughes for 10 years Edgar was appointed Manager of the Quality Systems Laboratory for the Command and Control Systems Group of Hughes. There he was responsible for assuring the successful integration of commercial software and hardware, in compliance with strict military standards and specification, into state of the industry multi-function Command Centers. Edgar also oversaw the in-country installation and testing of several Command and Control centers in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
As Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Kingdom Building Ministries Edgar led an exhaustive and extensive process to develop the ministries first ever fully integrated strategic operating plan.
In addition to his work as an executive he is a nationally known speaker on the subjects of vision, integrity, and leadership.
In early 2009 Edgar determined to expand the impact he could have on business and ministry leadership and decided to join the team at Estrada Strategies in Ontario Ca. as an Associate Business Coach.
Edgar has a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from the University of LaVerne. He is also a graduate of the Joint Program Management Program at the Defense Systems Management College in Virginia and holds several professional certifications including DISC instructor through Team Resources™ and Strategic Operating Plan Facilitator through the Thomas G. Paterson Process™.
Edgar and his wife Lucia currently reside in Rancho Cucamonga CA and have been married for 27 years. They have three adult children Daniel (married to Jamie), Jessica, Brittany and one grandson, Dominic.
